Celebrating 90 Years of Sportsmanship!
1924 - 2014
Because the good weather is returning more people are using the outdoor pistol range and therefore using more cardboard targets. Dick Waite has been resurfacing the targets; putting new targets over old and repairing or replacing cardboard as needed. Given the amount of targets used, he needs help. If more people volunteer to assist, even an hour a week, this would take the pressure off this 'one man work-group'. In order to volunteer, call Dick at 508-463-6837. Members are allowed a maximum of two targets per visit and this has added up very quickly. Help is needed so members can still have this feature; offered only at Angletree Rod and Gun Club.

- Currently registered spouses, who have not gone through orientation, are asked to attend an orientation on the last Sunday of the month at their earliest convenience; orientation starts at 10 AM. Our records and documents need to be updated and maintained. Your attention to this will be greatly appreciated.
-Outdoor range rule one (1) has been changed by vote of the Board of Directors to read:
Children aged 12 and over may shoot 22 pistol under the direct supervision of a licensed parent or guardian. They are to load one round at a time. At age 18 they may load 22 and centerfire handguns with 5 rounds, but no magnum loads.
Rules will be posted for view and review at the range.
-Please check the calendar frequently.
To the membership I would like to express a sincere THANK YOU from the Board of Directors for everyone who has participated in the past work parties. We have accomplished a lot of much needed work over the past few years and our plan is to continue doing so.
Projects like the Rifle Range enclosure, the Skeet Field clean up and house improvements, the Main clubhouse cleaning and painting, Trap field clean up go a long way toward accomplishing our goals.
We have also installed a telephone pole at the corner of the upper road to facilitate the completion of a phone line to the lower ranges, rifle and pistol for emergency use and hope to complete the line install before winter sets in.
There is still much to be done in order to bring the club to a point we would all like to see it for the future such as;
-Upgrading the heating system in the indoor pistol range.
-Expand the indoor range to 25 yards and re-configure the ports and ventilation.
-Roof and window replacement on the meeting hall of the main clubhouse.
-Window repairs in the main clubhouse.
-Siding upgrade for the main clubhouse
-Landscaping upgrades all around as well as road enhancements.
This work will be completed over time and not necessarily in the order noted above. The continued support of the membership is needed to man these projects appropriately over the next few years.
Again we THANK YOU for your past participation and hope to have your support in the future.
