The Secretary’s report for June was
accepted as amended to show in New Business # 5 that the
trap range stairs needed to be repaired and # 9 that the
score cards purchased were for all 2700 matches not just
for the Regional competition.
The Treasurer’s report for June
showed the checkbook balance.
The Financial Secretary turned in money
from memberships consisting of 4 renewals for 2010, 5 Spousal,
1 retired and 9 new members in June for a total of 19 members
with the purchase of 8 indoor range cards. There are a
total of 435 members for 2010. There were 385 members this
time last year. There are 50 more renewals and new members
this year than last year. A motion was made and carried
to file for future audit.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Claybird – Money was turned in. There were 217
member and 7 nonmember rounds shot last month. 3 boxes
of ammo were sold. Money was put in for extra birds
shot. The interclub shooting with Cumberland will be held
on 7/24 for skeet at Angle Tree and 7/31 for trap at Cumberland.
Pistol – All is going well. Money was turned
in from the June 13th 2700 match. There were
20 shooters. There are three more competitions scheduled,
July 25th, the State Championship Aug. 21st and 22nd and
Sept. 19th.
Rifle – All is well. The roof no longer leaks.
Building & Grounds – Dick H did the weed whacking.
Dick W is cutting the grass.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The land sale report is tabled until next month.
- The new shed on the rifle range is completed.
- 6 skids of clay targets arrived.
- A motion was made and carried to prorate the 2011 dues
as recommended at the June meeting.
- Dave L talked with City Works Company and received a
price and we will dig the trenches to the gates. A recommendation
regarding the security system was tabled until next month.
NEW BUSINESS:
- The following 9 new members and 3 spouses applied for
membership, Mark G, Anthony V, Robert K, Kevin C, Scott
D, Steven K, Robert and Carol R, Gerard P and Denis H,
James and Lisa H. A motion was made and carried to accept
the new members as read.
- Arthur J gave his verbal resignation.
- A motion was made and accepted to appoint Bill L to complete
Arthur’s Board of Director term of office.
- The income and expense report for the June 13th. 2700
match was turned in.
- Jerry P, who is an NRA certified instructor, has volunteered
to do the 2nd Saturday of the month qualifications.
- Ted’s Classes will be held July 20th, 22nd and
August 1st.
The meeting was adjourned on motion at 8:50 P.M.
